How to turn a story into an animated video with AI

Give the AI the story and any notes it must respect, let it build the cast and split the story into scenes, choose an animated style, check the script and cost, then render it scene by scene.

Step by step

  1. Write the idea in a sentence, or paste the story as an attached text file the agent treats as canon.
  2. Choose an animated style: 3D Animation, Cartoon or Anime.
  3. Pick the look: Storyboard (stills with the script on screen), Motion (illustrated scenes with voiceover and camera moves) or Video.
  4. Let the agent write the cast and outline, then read episode 1’s script.
  5. Confirm the cost and render. Watch it and generate the next part.

Start with the story, not the pictures

The biggest mistake when animating a story with AI is starting with images. The model only draws what the script describes, so if the script jumps from a kitchen to a forest without a reason, the video does too. Get the story into scenes first and the pictures follow.

In AISP the Story step takes a short idea (at least a sentence). If you already have the story written, attach it: up to four text files, and the agent is told to treat that material as canon and not contradict it.

Short story or series?

AISP is built around episodes and seasons, with at least three episodes per season. A short story fits naturally as a short first season: set a few scenes per episode and let each episode cover one part of the story. You decide the scene length, so you can see the runtime before anything is made.

If you want to keep your exact wording, write the episode yourself instead of letting the agent script it. Your words become the episode and the agent only splits them into scenes and shots.

Picking the look

For a read-along feel, Storyboard shows one illustrated frame per scene with the script on screen and costs the least. Motion adds a narrator voice and camera movement over illustrated scenes, which suits bedtime stories and explainers. The video tiers render moving footage with their own dialogue and sound.

Choose the visual style carefully: AISP locks it when the series is created so the characters do not change halfway through.

Questions

Can I narrate it in another language?

Yes. You pick the series language when you create it; AISP offers 15, including Spanish, Portuguese, French, Arabic, Hindi, Japanese and Chinese.

Can I download the video afterwards?

Not at the moment. Episodes play in AISP on the web and Android and can be shared by link; the subtitle file can be downloaded.

Make your series in AISP

Describe a story, and the agent writes the season, casts the characters and renders it one episode at a time. Writing the series bible is free; you see each episode’s credit cost before you confirm.
