How to make an AI series in another language
Pick the series language before the AI writes anything, so the bible, scripts and voices are all written in it from the start rather than translated afterwards.
Write in the language, do not translate
Translating a finished English script loses jokes, rhythm and names, and dubbing it afterwards makes the timing wrong. It is better to have the series written in its language from the first line. Dialogue then fits the scene lengths, and characters’ names and world details feel native.
Length matters too. The same line takes a different number of seconds to say in different languages, so a script written for 8-second scenes in English can overrun them in translation. Writing in the target language from the start lets the writer size each line to the scene.
Languages AISP supports
AISP lets you choose the series language on the first screen of Create. It defaults to your device’s language when that language is supported. The 15 options are:
- English, Spanish (Español), Portuguese (Português), French (Français), German (Deutsch)
- Italian (Italiano), Arabic (العربية), Hindi (हिन्दी), Indonesian (Indonesia), Japanese (日本語)
- Korean (한국어), Chinese (中文), Russian (Русский), Turkish (Türkçe), Vietnamese (Tiếng Việt)
The language is passed to the writer and to the voice models, so the bible, scripts, narration and generated dialogue follow it.
Tips for non-English series
- Write your idea in the language of the series; it gives the agent the right names and setting.
- Attach notes in that language if you have lore or names that must be kept exactly.
- Read the script before rendering, especially for regional vocabulary.
- Turn subtitles on in the player for viewers who read faster than they listen.
