How to make an anime series with an AI anime series maker

Pick an anime visual style and lock it for the whole series, give each character a fixed design and reference portrait, plan the season as an outline, then generate one episode at a time.

What makes anime hard for AI

Anime depends on a consistent look: the same line weight, flat cel-shaded colour and character designs that stay on model. AI image models are good at anime stills but tend to slide towards a generic or Western cartoon look, or towards 3D, from one prompt to the next. Over an episode that reads as several different shows.

The answer is to describe the style in the same words every time and tell the model what it is not, then keep each character’s design fixed.

How the Anime style works in AISP

AISP’s Anime style asks for Japanese anime illustration: cel-shaded flat colour, sharp clean linework, large expressive eyes and dynamic anime posing and framing. It also tells the model to avoid photoreal, 3D-rendered, Western cartoon looks and film grain. That direction is appended to every shot, and the style is locked once the series is created.

By default the style uses the Stylised brush, which is strong for drawn work (6 credits per image at the time of writing). Each character’s design is written once in the series bible and painted as a character design sheet, which seeds solo shots.

Planning episodes and seasons

An anime season is a story arc. AISP writes a season outline when you create the series, with 3 to 12 episodes, and after each episode it records continuity so later episodes remember earlier ones. When a season ends you can plan the next, and new characters get their own portraits.

Pick the shape before you start: 16:9 for a TV feel, 9:16 for phones. Then try episode 1 as Motion (illustrated scenes, voiceover, camera movement) before spending more on video.

Questions

Can I mix anime and live action?

Not in one series. The style is locked per series so characters stay on model. Make a second series for a different look.

Does it do Japanese voices?

Japanese is one of the 15 series languages, so scripts and narration can be in Japanese.
