How to make an AI series that remembers earlier episodes

Keep a written record of what each episode establishes — who knows what, who is where, what changed — and give it to the AI before it writes the next episode, along with the series bible and the season outline.

AI writers forget

A language model writes each episode from what it is given. If episode 4 is written without a record of episode 2, a character who died can reappear, a secret already revealed can be revealed again, and an injury vanishes. The longer the series, the worse it gets.

Human writers’ rooms keep a continuity bible for exactly this reason. An AI series needs the same thing, updated after every episode.

What to carry forward

  • Plot facts: what happened, in order.
  • Character state: who knows what, relationships, injuries, where each person is.
  • Open threads: questions the audience is waiting on.
  • Canon you supplied: your own notes or lore that must never be contradicted.

How AISP keeps the story straight

AISP writes continuity notes automatically after every episode, and passes them to the writer for the next one under an instruction to treat what has already happened as canon and honour it exactly. The series bible (cast, world rules, season outline) is read before every episode too.

Notes you attach when you create the series are also treated as canon. Visually, the episode opens from the frame the previous one ended on, so the story picks up where it left off on screen as well as on the page.

When a new character appears mid-season, they are written into the bible and given a portrait straight away, because both are read before every later episode.

Questions

Does memory carry into season 2?

Yes. When you plan the next season, the agent plans from the series so far and adds any new characters to the cast.

What if I rewrite an earlier episode?

Continuity is updated as each episode is completed, so the notes follow the episodes you actually render.
